Restorative Dentistry

Correcting dental problems may involve a simple cavity filling or a cosmetic procedure.  However, more serious issues, such as missing teeth, cracked teeth and other problems that go beyond the cosmetic may require restorative procedures before any cosmetic corrections can take place.  There are several types of dental restorations which are designed to do specific jobs.  The most common are: fillings, inlays and onlays, crowns, bridges, implants and partial dentures.  Each procedure is designed to restore the structural integrity or replace one or more teeth, and usually can be accomplished in one or a few visits.  Fundamentally, your aesthetic goals for your smile may not be achievable if your new, dazzling smile has a gap in it from a missing tooth!
